Hi. I am using WinFast PVR to schedule recording for my TV programs but I am continously having problems with scheduling. That is, the application says "The scheduled tasks are overlapped with each other, please check again." even though it is clearly not overlapped. I've tried reinstalling application but it doesn't work. I've also sent email to CS but they are not responding. I am thinking that the schedule list is corruptted. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
I use WinFast PVR 3.0.9.28

tw1965a, I've upgraded but it didn't work.
And leadtek still doesn't answer. They have the worst CS I have ever experienced.

I haven't had any problems scheduling
Have you tried clearing your schedule list and testing it with just one? -
Just a guess but I would thing it necessary to leave some time between settings to allow system to close the last file, change settings and start cap again.
Since I am just starting, I set up schedule to cap 10min at various settings to compare but left 5 min between enc and start. That part went well, the results however are not really acceptable, especially to audio
Everyting seems to work fine and the inter-face is simple enough, just poor results that are not dvd compliant(mpg1 layer2 at 44.1mhz) -
richie_r1ch, I've did clear the list and it works but some other unrelated schedules are rejected. I've even deleted the schedule list file, C:\Program Files\WinFast\WFTVFM\WFSCHDL.dat which I guessed from filemon. It doesn't seem to solve the problem.
snafu099, it seems that manual scheduling works. So it might be a titantv.com's one-click problem rather than the PVR application. -
sergio2003:
Maybe the schedule recording is conflict with some weekly schedules ? -
tw1965a, I don't think so. I've uploaded a snapshot. Please take a look.
All schedules are shown here, even though there is a scroll bar on the right.
Edit: Sorry, this conflict occured when I was manually scheduling. -
I have the Winfast TV2000 and ive found (after much experimantation) that Virtual VCR is the best recorder (I capture at 704x576) straight to DivX and have no problems.
To schedule, i actually use a macro program to press the keys etc at the right time.
A bit noddy i know, but it works a treat. -

Like Richie suggested... Clear the list. Then, re-add one at a time and click on green arrow with each add.
If/when you get the warning screen, you should have a better pinpoint on what schedule item is conflicting.
you might also try arrnging input order by chronological time - noticed several in your list not.. -
rcb, I did clear the list and tried re-adding each one. However I don't see any "green arrow"s.
Hmmm, chronological time?? so I might have to re-order every time I try to schedule...
izidave, I have considered alternate PVRs but does Virtual VCR have one-click scheduling like the WinFast PVR+TitanTV? -

sorry. I goofed on that "green arrow" description. What I meant was to click on the green (OK) checkmark at the screen's bottom after each schedule add. -
I had a similar problem with mine. I had one show recording every wednesday at 8pm, but then could not schedule anything else to start at 8pm, even on different days. Removing the weekly event fixed it...
Likely a bug in the software, I'm using the newest version as of a couple days ago. -
I have had the same issue for some time now. I have been religiously updating to new versions hoping that it was fixed. This is definitely a bug in the software because I have tried all sorts of tricks to get them to work.
There does not seem to be any correlation to the error. I do use titantv to schedule most of my programs but I even get the error when manually putting in the program.
I have emailed leadtek about it twice with no response at all.
very frustrating.

rcb, okay I think I got it. But mine is blue not green...
DarkHelmet, beamguy, I also have other problems. For instance, the PVR starts at the designated scheduled times but it doesn't start recording. I've alway thought it was a CPU load issue but I am getting an impression that it isn't neccesary so. Also, there is a case where the PVR doesn't start even at the designated time. -
sergio2003,
I was getting that as well. I don't recall how I fixed it. Have you updated to the most recent versions of drivers and apps? I am not even 50% sure, but... Something is telling me there was a conflict with norton antivirus or something like that.... Do a bit o searching you might find it.
My last anoying bug is that I lost the ability to do silent recordings. I recently replaced my PC. (lost to a fire) On my old box, when seting up a recording I could select silent recording so when it was recorded my speakers would not be playing the audio portion of the recording, but when I watched the recording the audio would be there. But now on my new pc, when I do this no audio is recorded and thus no audio on playback. My beliefe is that it is related to the soundcard I am using. Audigy 2. But that is just a guess.
hmm. I have not tested that issue since updating the app, maybe it is fixed... I will give it a try.

If you set the recording input to stereo mixer you will not get sound when you record in silent mode, since there is nothing on the stereo mixer. -
Setting both to aux does not work for me. Two reasons. 1, when setting auto-out to aux, I loose the ability to mute live tv. 2, I don't have an aux choice for the audio recording line.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I currently have mine set to audio out = line-in, audio recording line = analog mix(lin/cd/aux/tad/pc)

Observation for anyone trying to help the OP:
I had a "overlapped" problem that turned out to be an overlap with a WinfastFM recording. When I deleted the radio recording, the "overlapped" problem didn't go away - until a reboot. -

I use Virtual VCR and VVCRS2 on an almost daily basis, and IMHO, it's great. Configure for 704x480 (for NTSC), PicVideo MJPEG at Q19, and capture away.
If you have the same results I do, you may need to adjust for audio sync while editing in VirtualDub.
