looks like someone harvested Baldrick's glossary page and added it to their own site......
That stuff just ticks me off.... they have no creativity of their own, they have to steal from others.... shame.... -
Theiving bastards, sue 'em Baldrick. They even have the nerve to put a copyright mark at the bottom.
Tell me they have not asked you permission because I am just about to fill in their feedback form. -
I thought the Glossary was the place to get reliable information. What a crock!
Hello. -
From the Support page:
IV. VCD Easy Problems
-----------------------
If you read the rest of this tutorial this may sound redundant, but make sure your ASPI drivers are
up-to-date, (see General Problems). Also, make sure than when you installed this on your computer,
you checked off all the added features for VCDEasy.
I guess VCDEasy is used in it -
Other nice tidbits from the Terms & Conditions:
iDVDR contains proprietary methodology to enable you to back up your DVDs. However, to complete the back up process, you may also need to acquire and use some third party software not developed or owned by the Company. While these downloads may be free, and we provide links to help you find them, we make no representations or warranties regarding such third party software (including without limitation as to whether you will be able to find and download them for free or whether they will work as described in iDVDR). These third party software applications may use a process called "CSS decryption". This is a controversial process and its legal status is currently unclear. iDVDR itself does not use, make available or endorse CSS decryption, but the third party software involved in the process may involve the use of CSS decryption.
Anyone else notice that KVCD is missing. The term is listed, but the definition is gone. Possibly because of the first words of the definition:
"A term invented by VCDhelp member Kwag" -
lets grab our pitchforks and burn down the wesite
or maybe a DOS would do. -
I just emailed their support dept. and asked why they kited the glossary, and had the gall to put their own copyright notice on it.
we'll see if I get a response....- housepig

The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
I've been tempted several times to do a site like this myself. Devious, yes. Underhanded, yes. Would it actually make money? Well, that's the question I'd like to have answered. I'd bet the income is a trickle at best.

iDVDR allows you copy DVDs in two formats. VCDs, and SVCDs (for more info on these scroll down to a later question). Both of these will play in ANY computer DVD player, and most standalone DVD players will play one or the other. Your DVD player's manual should inform you which it supports, most DVD players released in 2002 or later support both.Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
