I would like to cature over2G with my DV-REX. I know you can do seemless capture, but I'd rather keep it all in one file. I will be running 2000 on whatever system it's in with NTFS so there shouldn't be any problems there...

If you already haven't, suggest you logon to the canopus website's forum; go to the DV-REX section and do a search on "file size" . Browse the results for info on your question...

You will need to have your cookies enabled in order to access the correct forum at Canopus. I am wondering if you have 98 or 2000,XP as the OS? I have the DVRex on ME with a 4 gig limit. Where does the 2 gig limit come into play? AS suggested, go to Canopus for your answers, you will find very little regarding the DVRex at this site. Evidently you answered your own question with the 2000 OS.

I'm sorry, but Canopus' site sucks, and I'm not even going to bother... I remember a few months to a year back their driver page had nothing but dead links. I'm having no better luck now. So I can't imagine their other pages being any better

Well, I don't care to deal with it. It's so much easier to just use my firewire card, and the speed isn't all that bad really.
