I have a friend who bought this DVD player and when he set it up, he clicked "Progressive Scan On" (turns out his TV only has S-Video) and the screen went black.
Now he can't even see the menu system to turn it "OFF". He unplugged it for 30 minutes, and plugged it back in..still black. Can't play anything ..nothin.
Any ideas what he can do to reset it or get out of Progressive mode if he can't see a menu screen?
Thanks!

Usually there is a button on the front of the Player or on the remote that will discretely do this.
Im downloading the 4700 manual now. They dont have the 4900 online yet.
