  1. Ok..ive used DVD decrypter to rip, then end up with like 60 files, then DVD shrink to compress..Usually what it does is it just compresses then asks for a dvdr and burns it for me automatically with no .iso needed.
What I want to know is how do i make a real dvd iso? I have isobuster, would that help? Maybe someone could post a link to a walk-thru for this?
Thanks, ive looked a lot of places =/
    Oh and i have IMGTool.

Ok suppose i just wanted to compress using dvd shrink, then make an iso automatically instead of burn it right then and there using dvd shrink's burning tool, how can i do so?

To make an ISO image you can use ImgTools classic or RecordNow Max /DX,DVDShrink 3.1 will make a .nrg image which you can burn with DVDDecrypter or Nero.

  3. Hope you don't mind a newbie answering your question, but I just figured this out the other day, maybe it's the answer you're looking for.

You say you already have ImgTool, that's what I use.

Pretty simple guide, for a pretty simple program in ImgTool. Only tricky thing is, you can't point ImgTool to the actual "VIDEO_TS" folder, you have to point it to the folder which contains your "VIDEO_TS" folder. Kinda funny the first time through, but all I did was create a temp folder named "ImgTool Temp" or some such, then put the "VIDEO_TS" folder in there, then linked ImgTool to the "ImgTool Temp" folder.

    Confusing? Kinda.

Once you create the iso, burn it to blank DVD using your whatever program you usually use. My choice is Decrypter, cause ImgTool automatically opens it when it's done creating.

    Hope that helps.

  4. Thanks for the replies, both have been very helpful.

Believe it or not, I did use IMGTOOL to try to make an iso but it kept asking for the TS_VIDEO folder (yet it created a TS_AUDIO) folder. I assumed I was doing something wrong and gave up, Ill give that suggestion a whirl and it should go just fine.

One more question about the same related topic: If i have a dvd, no macrovision, no css, and it all fits on one dvdr (basically a backup of a backup or something)..Whats the Easiest and best way to make an iso from that?

  5. You need ImgTool Classic not ImgTool.
