    I have an avi file that has jittery playback in wmp9.It is xvid,25.0 fps,mp3 audio.It plays fine in virtual dub preview. Is there any way to repair this.

    WMP9 doesn't play AVI's worth a dam. Try anything else. Media Player classic is pretty slick and nothing to install (it's a standalone program and free).

  3. Yeh, it resides in the WMplayer9 directory (mplayer.exe). Of course don't rule out the problem being an XVID file. If you don't use the right XVID codec you could have all kinds of issues. I have the best luck using the latest FFDSHOW decoder.

    Load the file into 4cc changer and change the header to divx.
