menus in tmpegenc dvd author

hello....was wondering, is there any way in dvd author to bypass using the main menu and only use the chapter menus? reason is, and maybe I missed a step or something, but when I went to play my dvd it came up to main menu(which I forgot to put a title or info in). but problem was getting to other menus, no buttons would highlight, no chapter titles would highlight. I could eventually scroll to other 3 submenus, but with no highlighting of buttons on any of the menus, including the main menu.I really do not need the main menu for the whole project, just wish to use the submenus for individual selection of chapters. any help appreciated

In the Create Menu portion of the program click on Menu display settings.
Then choose "only track menu"
