  1. what does it mean when I launch smart ripper and I get a message that says no ASPI Adapter. And If it stops in the middle of a rip and ask for a retry on a certain file what should I do?

  2. download the latest aspi drivers and make sure the dvd is clean and not scratched

  3. well I down loaded dvd decrypter, and it seems to be working much better. I also just downloaded some ASPI drivers so I should be good thanks a lot.

    DVDDecryptor can operate via 4 distinct layers. Only 1 of which is the ASPI layer. However, maximum ripping speed is usually via ASPI.

  5. Well I was ripping a 6x the other day, that seem good to me. my burner is supposed to write at 8x though so i don't know if i'm getting optimum use out of it

    Rip speed and Write speed are two different things my friend....

  7. ya i know. I guess my dvd drive is supposed to be able to read dvds at 12x does anyone know how to get top speed when ripping with dvd encrptyer
