Ripping problems with Band of Brothers

Hello everyone,

I having some serious ripping problems with Band of Brothers. I was able to rip Disc 2 without any problems but disc 3 is giving me a lot of problems. When I use Smart Ripper, it tells me that the VTS_01_0.BUP is locked and asks me to unlock with a player. Even I play the DVD in the player, it still gives me the same error. I then try DVD decrypter and it gives the following error message.


Please help.

maybe the disk is dirty or scratched?

if you have another dvd rom drive, you might try ripping from your other drive. See if the other drive reads the disk better.

It is kinda scratched, any tips to clean it? Soft cloth with water or....?

Only one DVD drive, Sony DRU 500A.

hmm....sounds like a dvd-rom problem, I have a Pioneer A06 and didnt have a problem backin up my box set of band of brothers

Problem solved- had an old Lite ON DVD lying around and it ripped it like no other Plus flashed it to region free as well Now about Sony's ripping capabilities
