  1. A friend of mine wanted to hook up his DVD player and VCR to his stereo, but he only had enough inputs on his stereo to hook up one. So he bought a splitter, but found that with the splitter both his DVD player and VCR lost juice. Also, they're at totally different volume levels. Also, his stereo is in a different room, so he doesn't want to have to get up, walk in another room and twist a knob every time he switches between one or the other.

Anyone know a cheap solution to this?

He could try using some Y-cords instead of a splitter. Then both inputs would go into the stereo at the same time. As far as walking to another room the cheapest solution would be to move the stereo.

Better solution is to hook the DVD to the VCR audio input and the VCR audio output to the stereo.
