your so ugly you make blind kids cry - VCPR (vice city radio)

  2. Because DVD have to be either 720x480 or 352x480 resolution and a frame rate of either 29.97 or 23.96 fps (in NTSC land that is).

Plus you have it set for MPEG Layer 1.

Read the guides over at the left hand side of the site labeled Convert.

We could help you out more if you could post some information about the source file. Resolution, File Type, Codec, Frame rate.. etc.

On second thought.. read some guides.

  3. In order to be DVD compliant, your resolution needs to be either:
    720x480
    704x480
    352x480
    352x240

That is what TMPG DVD Author is trying to tell you. It is also telling you to change the frame rate to 29.97.

The MPEG-1 is fine if you want to go 352x240. You can use MP2 (MPEG layer 2) audio but it is not technically DVD compliant if it is the only audio track. DVD compliant (NTSC) requires the use of either PCM or AC3 if you have only one audio track.

Changing the res to 352x240 and frame rtae to 29.97 should get you a little further...

You are changing the ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, I am assuming your source frame rate is not 30 so you are changing that also and using MPEG1 @ 1150 bitrate. These ingrediants don't sound very good. Good luck...

I think he'll be OK with MPEG-1 @1150. I have a bunch of standard VCDs on DVD (after changing the audio of course). But I agree, some of the other stuff is a little "funny."
