I alway use the default ntsc encoding which turned out fine in my TV
but i just find out that my TV picture type is Pal
so should i change to Pal encoding of movies or stick with Ntsc
anyway... what's the difference between Pal and Ntsc?

1) you could try one in PAL and see how it works with your particular setup.

If you are in the UK, Europe or anywhere else that isn't North America, PAL is where you want to be. You are fortunate in that all PAL DVD players can play the inferior NTSC standard. Think yourself lucky you're not in the US and doing it the other way round. Hardly any NTSC DVD player can handle a PAL disk.
PAL = 720 x 576, 25fps
NTSC = 720 x 480, 29.97fps
