  1. I have a LG GSA-4040B and I downloaded the new A302 firmware but everytiem I try to open the file it says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." What can I do about this?

  2. I am not sure if this will work but it has worked for me in the past. Go into run => regedit and goto:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

    and set Allocatecdroms to (1)

if that doesn't word try this:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SeCEdit\Reg Values

and set the value to (0)

It's worth a shot. You may also look at permissions at these various levels to see if they allow you to access the CDROMS. Good luck!

  4. kustomkla80,

That simply a Windows permission problem. Just go in to your registry and set EVERYTHING up as allowed. That will prevent that problem in the future.
