If you are trying to do a direct copy of a factory DVD....you are S.O.L....most factory DVD's are DVD9's....WE buy DVD5's...which are too small. You need to do some serious reading in the Guides section to the left. Look for a guide for DVDShrink to start you off.

  3. i know about the dvd sizes and all, but thats not the problem i am having. my problem is that i am trying to make duplicate copies of a movie i have already put on a dvd 5 disc. when i try to make duplicates of that movie, somehow i can not finish making duplicates from it, the programs i use will not complete the copy. the programs i am using is nero 6,record now, and dvd clone.

  4. here is an easier way to do what you want....

    1. get dvd decrypter
    2. rip backup in iso mode..with dvd decrypter
    3. place new disk in drive
    4. write the iso that you just ripped..with dvd decrypter

If you burnt to shit quality media, it won't read properly and the burn will fail.

In this case you can TRY ISO->READ with DVD Decrypter, but you might just be SOL.

Not if your media is shit. If it's failing it's because there are problems reading the disc you burnt. Either you burnt on crap media or you burnt too fast or there's a scratch or something.

Sometimes doing disc to disc copying can't be done if your dvd burner is connected to the same ide cable as your dvd-rom. In other words if your dvd burner is on secondary master and dvd-rom is on secondary slave. It would be better to rip with DVD DECRYPTER as mentioned to make back up copies. Or you can change your dvd-rom to primary slave and then try copying disc to disc. In my opinion doing it with DVD DECRYPTER would be easier.

  9. What you are trying to do is called "burning on the fly". This is not recommended even with regular audio CDs because is not safe.
Decrypt the movie in ISO mode to hard drive and then burn with decrypter.
