    Using Express, it rips the entire dvd to my hard drive, but when it finishes instead of asking for a blank DVD, it just closes. If I try to restart it, it erases the previous files. I am new, Just got the program and a new burner, sony drx-510ul. Any help

    DVDShrink=better than DVDXCOPY
    If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

  5. I have the exact same problem. However, the platinum version has the advanced option. Just back them up with platinum. It works like that for me and it gives you more control like removing previews and so on. Hope that helps.

  6. I have the same problem too. So far I'm finding that dvdxcopy for the most part is a POS. Another problem with it is when I try and use advanced, the option to browse the hard drive for files doesn't work. It seems nothing in this program actually works like it's supposed to. Anyone ever see this problem?

    And does anyone have solutions for them, besides using dvdshrink..etc..etc... I mean a real solution for getting dvdxcopy to work like it's supposed to.

    No offense here people...but I see that all of you are REALLY new at this...so why not go another route like dvdshrink? I used to use dvdxcopy and now after MANY suggestions by the pros here...I have seen the light. I suggest you do the same. I use dvd shrink...still have all the menus...and NEVER a glitch OR a coaster!
    If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0
