I'm another Epson SP 900 user.
I generally print full coverage disc images, then seal the print with Krylon #1305 UV Protectant Acrylic Spray.
I had been using the 30 pack Memorex spindles for audio projects and found them to be excellent. Images are vibrant and the Nero CD Quality Test reports error-free burns with a Yamaha CRW-F1.
The other shoe dropped when I went to an SVCD project...
Traditionally, I take discs right from the spindle to the printer (before I can mar them up with fingerprints, or they catch dust/lint), then to the "spray booth". I then burn the finished discs with content. The SVCD project called for 695 & 696MB for the 2 disc set. Everything looked sweet 'till the last stage of the project.... Nero reported 1,000,000+ errors after the 58 minute-mark on _Every Disc_!
I figured this couldn't be right, but sure enough, even my Norcent 300 couldn't play the last few chapters of these SVCD's without tons of pixelation, audio drop-outs and old-school skips. Could I have gotten Krylon Spray on the silver-side?...possible; but as a test I tried burning the content on a spindle-fresh disc. Same damned error-rate. Had my Yamaha Burner gone south?...possible; but as a test I tried burning the images using my LG 4040B and HP 8100 on spindle-fresh discs. Same damned error-rates. Could I have gotten a bad spindle?..possible; but as a test I tried discs from a second spindle bought weeks after the discs in question and got the same damned error-rate.
None of my audio projects have gone past the 60 minute-mark hiding this fatal flaw from my attention. I've dropped a beggar's ransom on this project, between discs, ink, and spray; don't even mention the time it has taken me to re-do on Ritek IJP discs...
Has anyone successfully returned Memorex discs under the Manufacturer's Warranty..?
Is it Live, or is it Memorex; ask me at the 60 minute-mark..!
*As a side-note; I now burn and test first, then print/spray.

I've burned many 750-830 MB SVCDs with these disks, no problems. Don't know what to tell you.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
Thanks for the feedback VI... I figured if this problem was widespread it would certainly have been reported here by now.
The only variable I can think of left to test is the burning software. The Ulead disc burning utility (from .IXA images) succeeds with Ritek IJP's and even lowly Mitsumi (Postech 97m26s11f) produce this full-disc project error free.
I downloaded a trial version of TMPEG Disc Author and plan to try out some full disc action with it, once I get the project in question out the door...
