Just wondering how many of you (if any) have made money from the internet through some idea or site?

I personally made a quick buck selling items (not quite legitimate) on ebay when I was in high school and was interested in seeing what other creative ideas people have had for making money from the internet.

I was actually thinking how much DVDRHelp.com would potentially be worth if it was sold similar to what happened with IMDB and Amazon.com for one of my university courses about a month ago.

Just on ebay..........selling the usual stuff.....kidney, lung, lobes of my liver, and bone marrow.

I always got more and plus I made a whopping $950 from all of them. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

ebay has been my only venture to make money using the net, for the moment.

back in college i would hunt the net for deals or look for things which were totally mis priced and resell them to make a profit.

likewise with comptuers. i would buy powerbooks that worked and part them out. You can almost get 2x the cost you paid by parting them out!

that plus all the junk i have sold totals close to 5,000 US.

quite a few years back, when i was 15 i started up a porn site.. it wasnt a supscription porn site though, it was one of those AVS porn sites when AVS porn was in its infancy. i made like $30 off referrals. the name of my website was "DWYT" (dont waste your time). i had 3 huge (at the time) zip files, one softcore, one hardcore, and "the big kahuna" (both hardcore & softcore).

i hosted all the contents & zip files on my isp webspace (they provided unlimited space and transfers).. transferring those zip files with a 28.8 (14.4 upload) to my ftp took FOREVER.. and if it failed during the middle, arggghhHH!!


i remember 2 or 3 days after i started the site my isp's website was unresponsive and surfing the internet was next to impossible..

after the traffic surge backed down everything was going smoothly, people were requesting new porn, but i didnt care. i had given them a good chunk of porn.. then one day i uploaded some 30 second WAV clips of music and labled them "illegal music".. althrough i doubt it was illegal, they were looking for a reason to suspsend my account. they only suspsended my ftp access, not my internet access.

it was worth it though.. $30, i can say i started a porn site before it got REALLY REALLY popular on the internet, and i was 15.

I spent a year (2002) collecting the 1970's Palitoy Eagle Eye Action Men (Hasbro GI Joe) I had as a kid.
I now have a collection of 16 mint figures (worth circa. £2.5k) and bought a £4k 1971 MG B Roadster with the rest of the profits.
All on ebay, all in the same year.
Got lucky with bargains mostly.

I have numerous exploits on the internet in various attempts to make a quick buck. From selling illegal movies and porn DVD/VCD's on eBay to opening up a referral store to sell adult DVD/VCD's. I also used a bunch of those ad schemes where you get money (like .0001 cent) for recieving an email.

My mate and I are always looking for a way to make some quick dollars from minimal work. Right now I am working on an email newsletter where if you subscribe you get 20 passwords (to legitimate adult pay sites) but you have to view the ads that come with it.
