No Sound on DVDR

Hi all,

I have read and tried many techniques (much thanks to everyone) with various levels of failure and success and finally tried the following:

a) Decrypted using DVD Decrypter to the HD
b) Used DVD Shrink on the files (from DVD Decrpyter) to shrink the DVD to fit onto one DVDR.
c) Burnt the disk using Nero 6.

When I play the DVD (DVD-RW) I get no sound.
I am using Ulead and Real PLayer to test the DVD.

However when I goto the DVD and open the a VOB file with ie Real player the sound plays?

This means that both the audio track and the codecs must be right otherwise the VOB would not play with audio, right???

My guess is that it must be some other file ie one of the .ifo files.


Any Ideas?

did you use the dts audio, but dont have a dts amplifier

I removed the DTS audio option and then performed the Shrink and that worked.

Thanks a million.

I guess that the disk(s) that I cannot hear will actually work witha DTS amplifier.

I also used the DVD Shrink 1.03 and that also worked. It must not use the DTS option.
