  1. When I make a DVD it plays great on the computer (WinDVD), however it freezes at the end of every chapter on my stand-alone player (Pioneer DV-525). This player has never frozen on a commercial dvd, in fact it plays the SVCD and VCDs I burn with no problem. Is this common problem with home-made dvd or do I need another player, or media, or is the WinDVD program more forgivable than the stand-alone?I have been using HP and Maxell media. My authoring program is Sony DVD Architect and burning with nero 6. I'm new to DVD and any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is getting kind of annoying having to click the 'next chapter' button every 8 minutes or so to resume.

  2. Just a stab here but some programs you have to tell it to set up the chapters as play all, otherwise it will play each individual chapter and stop. Look in the Sony software for and option that says "play all" "Play main menu and stop" or "play chapter and stop" something along those lines.

  3. Yes, the problem might be in the authoring software. If its a good program it has to offer the option of playing next chapter or return to menu. I do not see the purpose of stopping at the end of the chapter.

    Look for good authoring software.
