    Hello. I would like to create an XSVCD, but I need some informations.

    1)I-Author is free? Where can i buy or download it?
    2) I have a Samsung DVD 611 standalone player, and i know that it support XSVCD. What's the maximum bitrate that I can set for read my movies on this player?

    I-Author is difficult to obtain. Not only is it NOT free, it's no longer available outside of china.

    I got it off of a spanish site which I cannot link to here, for obvious reasons.

    XSVCD is inadvisable. You can't give it to other people, and what happens when you buy a new DVD player? Compliant SVCD's have just as good quality as DVD 99% of the time.
