  1. Hi, y'all.

I captured a VHS video to MPEG with my LeadTek card using Movie Factory 2. Then I added [ho hum] menus with MF2. My resulting video is over 6G. So, I ran it through DVDShrink to get the size down. Then burned it with ImgTools. The result looks great, but has no sound! I've burned several using just MF2. The audio is always fine, but the video is never very good. It's just a 1:33 VHS tape. So, I'm pretty sure it's something between the MF2 save to disk, and the DVDShrink step. Any ideas?

I *did* look through the forums first for answers. This is a teriffic place for help, but I didn't want to ask the same questions for the millionth time.

    Thanks in advance!

    Alf

PS - DVDShrink does show an audio track of about 1G.

  2. Revisited: After more research, I thought I may need different audio input settings. So, in MF2, I changed the audio from PCM to MPEG. Now, I don't have audio even in the PC preview. This evening, I'll change back to PCM audio and try again.

I'm not especially stuck on MF2. It came with the writer, and it sorta does menus. So, I'd appreciate your opinions from getting from VHS (recorded from TV and purchased movies) to DVD. Low budget, so I can't do what Ulead wants me to do with their bundled product.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Update: The audio problem seems to have been a setting issue with MF2. I juggled everything and sound works.

    Now, back to the menus...
