The December 2003 issue of MacAddict has a good description of this process on pages 70 and 71. They use OSEx to rip the audio from the DVD and mAC3dec to convert the AC3 audio to 48 khz AIFF.

  3. I suppose you're talking about a normal DVD movie of a live concert or something like that.

I would do it the normal way. Rip with DVD Decrypter, De-Multiplex with TMPGEnc, then do whatever I wanted to with the audio files.

    Pretty simple process like that.

    Good luck.

  4. Sometimes the PC folks wander into this forum and look around with a lost and bewildered look. They say gibberish like TMPGEnc and DVD Decrypter and then shuffle away to post in the linux forum. The previous post is spot on. OSEx to rip as elementary streams then MAC3Dec to take the AC3 and turn it into a cd ready 48 kHz AIFF.
