  1. Hello,

I bought a Plextor 708A and I would like to know which software you're using (if you own a Plextor 708A) to burning DVDs...

    thanx a lot,

I use NERO version 5.5.10.42 to burn DVD media and I use DVD SHRINK to rip and encode. I also use DVD DECRYPTER to rip, encode & burn if the DVD is a DVD-5 single layer. I've found there are so many variables in authoring and burning dvds. It could depend on what brand of media you use to burn and other factors such as having the latest ASPI files for your operating system, the latest firmware from plextor for your burner, how your dvd burner is set up on your pc and turning off programs that are running in the background while you burn dvd's. Good Luck! I have no regrets in buying the Plextor 708A!

  4. First of all... congrats on the Plextor burner... I love it, good choice.
Secondly I use Nero 6.3 and that seems to work great. If I remember correctly, just remember to turn on the buffer underrun or that vari-rec thing WITHIN nero as I could have sworn it was off by default. If I am wrong, just ignore that comment.
I have tried dvd clone and I don't like it nearly as much as Nero.
Also used the EZ cd creator and didn't like that.
I have also used DVD X Copy 3.2.1 with varying success.
When in doubt, nero, nero, nero.
