Video formats to use with Adobe Encore

Hello,

Does anybody know if Encore supports VOB files that are directly ripped from DVD? I imported VOB files as assetts then I had an unspecified errors during "buid DVD".

Does anyone know what are all the video formats that Encore supports? Thank you very much.

I just tried using a VOB file for my Dark Side of the Moon DVD and it worked fine. You may want to check that the VOB file is not larger than DVD5 can handle, but you should have got a message regarding the file size. Encore reads the VOB as an MPEG2 stream (which is basically what it is) so it doesn't flag any transcoding settings. However you may want to do just demux it down to elementary streams as that will be easier to work with.

Also try downloading the latest patch for Encore from Adobe's website. Supposedly is fixes the "unspecified error" during DVD creation.
