Hi,
I just refreshed my PC by reformatting the hard drive and gave my DivX encoding a test using Band of Brothers (first episode). I am using DivX 5.0.2.
Upon playback, the video is jerky and the image quality isn't up to much. For 65 minutes of video it has 615MB to play with. That's about 1250kbps for video alone. The only other time I've seen this sort of trouble is with a PC that was far too slow to be trying to play back DivX.
I encoded using Vidomi, and it was a two pass encode. I play back using either Zoom player or WMP, but they are identical in the trouble they have. This leads me to think it may well be DivX itself.
Does anyone know what's up with my decoder?
Thanks, and happy Christmas!
