Any ideas on this? I have made two dvd's using Windvd creator 2 Plat. It seemed like a simple way to turn my HQ DiVX files into DVD's, but they won't play on my standalone dvd players. Both disks play on the PC, but not on my Philips theater in a box system, PS2, or Daewoo DVD 5900. I decided to try a couple more players, so I loaned the disks to a friend. He said that they failed to play on his new progressive scan player, but they did work on his old first generation dvd player. I forgot to ask the make/model, but I know that he said it was one of the first players on the market in the US.

Now, I have seen several disks refuse to play on any standalone unit and quite a few play only on newer units, but this is the first time I have heard of disks only working on older units. Anyone out there have an idea why this is happening -- how to burn usable disks with windvd creator?
