  1. Guys I have been using Nero forever and this is weird...

I installed a Pioneer A06 and Memorex 48x DVD/CD-RW drive to replace my A04 and 16X cd writer.

The nero I was using would not recognize my drives so I upgraded to 6.0.0.0

The problem is occuring when trying to burn AUDIO CD's. This is what happens.

FILE, NEW, Audio cd....is what I choose...then I drag my MP3's over to the compilation..click BURN...takes about 2 minutes at 4x to burn 1 MP3 on a cd-rw. Then..after its done...I check the disc..and all that is on it is a 1KB Track that is nothing but a shortcut to the mp3 on MY PC!?!?!? Its not converting the MP3's over and making them a compatible format for my CD PLAYER. Nero has always converted them from MP3's to a compatible format for me before burning. What gives??? I have tried 3 different versions of NERO and each one burns the track as a 1KB file that is nothing but a shortcut to the mp3 on my PC.

Anyone ever seen this before?? I have all the plugins as well. Mp3PRo and all those are all there. It burns all other things fine..data disc..iso..anything else is fine, but these AUDIO CD's are pissing me off. I don't want to have to convert the MP3's to WAV files each time then burn them.

Anyone got a solution for this problem??

  3. Have you tried playing them in a regular CD player?
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

  4. Yes I have..and I get nothing...

when I explore the CD in my PC they are all just 1KB tracks...and the reason I think they play on my pc is because they are shortcuts to the MP3's on my PC...otherwise I don't think they would play at all

Tonight I am gonna convert the MP3's to WAV files and try burning that way and see if that works..I don't wanna have to do that because NERO was taking that step out of the equation...but...if thats the only way it will work..I guess I have too..it just makes no sense

  5. Audio CD files will appear to be a "short-cut" link in windows. Windows is in-capable of displaying the actual file. Have you tried burning to a CD rather than a CD-RW?
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

You could try copying and pasting instead of dragging.
    If in doubt, Google it.
