So, who here has seen it? Did you like it?

I went to the 12:01 showing on Wednesday. The movie is pretty good, but it had far too many false endings.

    Did you read the book?
    Hello.

  3. Still got another 7 days till it comes out here. Don't know whether I will bother seeing it though.

Was it the 'masterpiece' of cinema that most critics are saying it is?

I refuse to read. Print is dead.

It's a very good movie, but i feel that the first movie was the best of them all.

It was pretty durn good...yeah, they kinda pulled the ending out of their arse, but it probably saved another 45 minutes ending the way they did as opposed to how it ends in the book. I'm still thinking about how much compression it'll take to make a single-disc backup of this thing when it comes out on DVD...3hrs45minutes...whoof!

Yeah, I was kinda hoping Elrond would put on his sunglasses and try to take over Middle Earth.....Probably would have been a bit better than Revolutions

The one thing I didn't understand was why did Liv Tyler's character give up her immortal status? Did she become a mortal? Did she do it so she could be with the king?

Yeah...She gave Aragorn that pendant to give him a little bit of her immortality...I'm thinking that it made her mortal...the crazy things girls do for love
