  1. I've got some ASX files on my computer. I might be wrong, but I think that usually means it's streaming video, but these aren't.

They have a licence on them, so you can only play them on the computer on which they were downloaded. The only problem is that my computer 'loses' the licenses so I can't play them forever.

I looked through the forum and your 'convert' section and none of those instructions helped ...

    Some help would be appreciated.

Isn't that the whole idea? If you want somebody to help you circumvent the protection, best look elsewhere.

  3. No, it's not the idea. The web site's authors even said it's not supposed to happen.

I'm looking to solve the problem by converting the videos to MPEG or AVI or something.

    I don't see a problem in that.

  4. Okay, I see you've decided to ignore this topic ...

Just to clairify, I emailed the web site owners, and they helped me to get some of the licenses working. They also said that the licenses are NOT supposed to expire.

Therefore I'm NOT doing anything illegal.

If you don't want to help me, that's fine, but you should know that I'm not breaking the law here.
