how do i rip my tv dvd ?

hi everyone, i really hope someone could give me a little advice. i currently use dvd shrink and dvdxcopy for backing up my dvds, yet i want to back up my copy of pheonixs nights (tv show ) will either of these help or will i have to look elsewere.

DVDShrink will work fine. Re-Author mode, and drag 2-4 eps into the new window, depending on length (use 2 hours/DVD as a baseline). That's the simplest and fastest way to do it. You don't get a menu, though.

If you want, you can use Shrink or DVDDecryptor to rip each episode seperately, then use TEMP Author and import the DVD Video and your done. You get a simple menu, and that's all you usually want. You can also do chapter points if you use DVDDecryptor and set that option.

There are many ways to 'Episode' Disks, it's a matter of speed and cost, but when DVDR's are $1 US, it's worth re-encdoding overnight to save disks.
