  1. Hi
I have made a backup of Badboys 2 using dvdshrink and when I play it in my standalone dvd player before it plays it requires a password to start.
I have tried running it through shrink again and it wont analyse it comes up with error.

How do i make a copy and remove the section that asks for a password

I have made many backups in the past and never had this problem.

    Thanks for your help

Sounds like "parental control" to me - AFAIK, that's the only password protection you can have on a DVD... Check your player documentation and turn it off.

Like mats.hogberg said, it sure looks like Parental Controls to me, too.

A friend of mine bought a portable DVD player for his SUV so his kids could watch movies in the back seat. He lost the manual. Whenever he tries to watch "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones" it asks him for a password.
There is a default password on the player to disable Parental Controls, but since he doesn't have the manual, he can't do it. He's tried all the usual suspects, like "1234" "0000" "1111" etc. etc. The manufacturer is unresponsive.
Check the manual for your player (if you stilll have it).

Remember, as Bill Clinton's former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders says, "We must protect our chowldren."
