  1. Hi there, I have some vcd movies that I have burned to cd but now would like to put them on my daughters hard drive so she can play them. I know the cds can play on the computer but it would be easier for her if they were already on the hard drive. Can this be done or do I have to go thru the process of ripping and encoding all over again.

  2. Here's one way:

DAEMON Tools is a virtual cd/dvd-rom emulator. It is able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today.

Easiest way is to just copy the .dat file or rip it to mpeg with isobuster

Why don't you just copythe disk to the drive?

MS MP9 will play them, full screen, as will Win DVD.

They were originally on your drive as a couple MPEG files to be burnt. Just put them back..

Most VCDs are less than 2 gig, a 160 would holdd 80 + movies.

    Cheers,

    George

VCDGear is good for extracting back into MPEG.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. I'd use VCDGear to convert the disc back to an mpg file.

I think ISO buster can do the same thing - but I'm not sure.

  8. You can just rename the file, and it will probably be okay - but the headers etc.. in the file won't be right.

As I say, it will probably work fine, but it may cause problems with some players.

I'd use VCDGear or VCDEasy's MPEG tools:

i dont think the headers will be a problem, unless you try to author the files to a vcd, dvd etc.
