I have several "DICOM" CDs which contain medical images such as MRI, PET, and CT scans. They include data, images, and the software to access/view/manipulate everything. It works fine with the CD inserted. I would like to copy the CD to hard drive then run it from the hard drive, without the CD being inserted. If I try a simple copy and paste of the CD to a hard drive folder, it runs OK until it tries to access something on the CD then says "Invalid CD Drive". Is there some way to fool it into thinking it is still running from the CD?

I googled while waiting for a reply here and soon found a solution: Daemon Tools 3.47 from OldVersion.com. It seems to work fine with my DICOM CDs. Thanks anyway. Maybe someone else will benefit from this info.
