    This may be a silly question, but can I burn a movie onto a blank DVD+R with a DVD+RW Drive? I thought I could, but for some reason, my computer is rejecting it. I'm able to burn movies onto a blank DVD+RW just fine. Is it my computer or is it just not possible?

    What drive is it? Firmware?

    The first generation DVD+RW drives (Ricoh5120 and their clones)
    can't burn write-once medias
