  1. Ok I asked this question before but got no reply....I have a computer pentium 3 733mgz windows 98 (2nd edition) but could be upgradd to xp if necessary. 18 gig. 256 memory ram.

    I want to buy this nec dvd +/-rw because I saw it on this site at 96$ only!

    Will my computer support dvd shrink for instance and manage to do a good job at burning dvd?

    Some one told me yeah another froend told my no way it would take days..... Anyone??? I want to buy for x-mas....help!
    And do you know if this nec dvd writerdoes a good job (at taht price it fits my budget!~)

    I see no reason why it won't.
    My specs are not all that different.

    A larger harddrive is recommended, though you could get by.....just.

    If 98se supports the burner i see no reason to use XP. It will only 'steal' an extra GB or more of your small harddrive.
    NTFS is not necessary for DVD rips since the *.VOB's are only 1Gb in size.

    amd 1.2 sys with win98se here useing nec 1300a and dvd shrink no problem.
