Maestro beats everything except maybe Scenarist but the latter is very difficult to learn.
Enjoy! -
Since DVDFAB is not an authoring tool, I do not see how recommending that tool helps any in this situation.
Maestro is a professional level tool. There really is no comparison between the two.
If you can find and afford Maestro or Scenarist, then they should be what you are getting. However, most people on a normal budget can not even dream to afford these tools. Programs like DVD-Lab and TMPGEN DVD Author seem to fit much better in the price/functionality ratio. I personally like DVD-Lab because it does everything that I need, makes my finished products look professional, and cost me less than $100.
I'm sure the learning curve on Maestro and Scenarist are a lot higher than DVD-Lab, so immediate gratification will be higher with DVD-Lab.
I know that Maestro and Scenarist support subtitles and multiple VTS, where as DVD-Lab does not have that functionality YET. It has been promised in future builds, though.
I'd sya that if you are someone working from home, doing home videos/tv shows, then DVD-Lab will be a good fit, and the other 2 would be overkill.
If you are wantingto start your own DVD production lab, then Maestro or Scenarist would be what you want. -
ohh...................sorry for my political correctness
"If u cant eat it - u dont need it"
"Baby - If i dont hit it, Who will?"
"Why is Abbreviation such a long word"? -
If you describe what you're looking to do, it would be easier to decide between the two or recommend another altogether.

I normally import vob files cut from various DVD to compile my own bits.
DVD Maestro doesn't allow to import vob file. That is one drawback, I would say.
The new DVD-Lap Pro version is really cool. It can (its web page says)
do multiple-VTS now.
