    Im new to this subject but would like to know more. Could someone tell me what software I will need, and if possible step by step instructions on how to conver DVD films to CD ROM. I know that it might take two or more CD ROM's for a film.

    No, U.S. bought PS2s can not play VCDs straight out the box.
