  1. I have a Pioneer Dvr-Ao6 dvd burner and i just burnt my first dvd using Unlead Dvd Moviefactory Suite Deluxe. The video shows perfectly on both my Dvd drive and My ps2, but the sound cuts out about 5 or so seconds after i start playing.

After the avi movie file is converted by Unlead, i tried playing it and realised that the converted mpeg-2 file was the problem, and the sound dropped off 5 seconds into playing.

I have tried converting, going exactly to the guides posted about TMPGENc and TMPGENc Plus, and the same problem is occuring. I do not think I am advanced enough to separate the audio and the video, convert them, then try to splice them back together, so please give me and easier and detailed solution.

Here is the info on the file I am trying to convert:

    File:
    File Format:Microsoft Avi Files
    Frame Rate: 29,970 frames/sec
    Data Rate: 96.05 Kbps

    Video:
    Compression: DivX MPEG-4 Low-Motion
    Attributes: 24 bits, 320x240
    Total Frames: 171,784 frame(s)

    Audio:
    Compression: Mpeg Layer-3
    Attributes: 127kBit/s, 44,100Hz, Stereo
    Total Samples: 474,503 Samples

I realise that you guys always have a soultion for every problem. So I am not too worried.

    Thanks.

TMPEG will not convert mp3 audio. You need to convert the mp3 audio stream to wav format in odrer for TMPEG to encode the audio. Most people use Virtual Dub to convert DIVX mp3 audio streams to wav.

  3. Thanks alot, everything came out perfectly, i converted the audio to a wav file, then compressed it using Lame Mp3 Codec if i remember correctly. Then converted both files using TMPGENc Plus.

The stupid Unlead program still converting the file to it's own format i guess, which is a little time consuming, but the end result is a really good quality DVD.

Thanks again, you guys seem to know everything.
