  1. hi there,

    im trying to rip from dvd's i made back to mpeg or avi files so i can then put them on different dvd's. i have put 3-4 films on one dvd and they are in chapters (each film is one chapter).

    Ive tried smartripper with no joy it just extracts the vob's really!

    Tried 1st dvd ripper and it dosent seem to want to work !!

    any help would be greatfull

    Well, you can rip them with DVD Shrink, load the VOBs into Virtual Dub mod and either save them as AVIs, or frameserve them to TMPGEnc for encoding to MPEGs.

  3. The easiest way I have found to get the mpge from a DVD is to use TMPGEnc DVD Author (available with a 30 day trial).
    Start a new project and select DVD video as your source. Select the title you want from your DVD and then check the "copy to HDD" option. It copies the MPG2 to your hard drive.
    You could also use TMPGEnc DVD author to re-master your DVD's.
