DVD Play Issue, IFOEdit

Hello,

I'm having a problem with IFOEdits DVD PLay feature. Everything works fine up until I select to watch a specific chapter from the goto scene menu or even select to play the dvd (from the HD). When I do the whole screen just goes "scrambled" and the audio is fine. Any Ideas?

it sounds like the DVD hasn't been ripped properly somehow

what did you rip with?

do you get green blocks when you are talking about it being scrambled?

Could it be a codec problem, maybe?

It's ripped okay. I can play it back with Roxio DVD from the hard drive. No green blocks, it's more like I'm looking at it through a tilted picket fence (?).

I thought maybe it was a codec thing too, so I downloaded the K-Lite codec pack and installed it (yup, all of em) and it didn't help. I just installed DirectX 9 too. Below is what codecs I have installed on my system, courtesy of AVICodec:

Hmm, it is an odd to be sure.

Is this the first time it has happened?

Yeah, it worked for awhile and I haven't really done anything to the system, so I'm confused. I got my Plextor 708 about a month ago and I've been playing with software that entire time. I think I'm gonna wipe XP and start over. It never hurts.

What about restoring XP to a previous date rather than a complete reload. I had never used system restore point up until a month or so ago but, it works a treat. Just keep in mind that it restores everything to the previous date so, things like antivirus and windows update files will need doing again.
