  1. Its a long story but the only program I had (that worked) for copying my Homemade DVD's is GONE!

    I accidentally erased it.

I have DVD Decryptor and RecordNowDX,PrassiPrimo and they ALL fail to make a copy.
I did get to 98% with RecordNowDX and then it just sat there for 2 hours!

    I need a free,quick,simple to use program.

I know theres some knowledgavble folks out there.

    PLEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!!

  3. Twodogs,

    Thanks for the info.
I read through some of the Forum and I think I was just using DVDDecryptor the wrong way.
I'm trying it right now and so far ..so good!

  4. OK.

It looked like it was going perfectly until 93% and it came up with an error and aked if I wanted to "Cancel,Abort,Ignore".
I chose ignore and now its just sitting at 93% and the clock is ticking with NO increase in the Percentage.

is your ISO less than 4,706,074,624 bytes ?

  7. Yes the ISO is less than that.
I got it to FINALLY work!
    Heres what I did.
My PC is 5 years old running 333MHz with Win 98 and 162 Negs of RAM.
It originally came with a Toshiba 5X Speed DVD Player ,and I've been usin THAT to play the DVD's on that I'm copying.

So what I did was use the new Pioneer A05 for PLAYING the DVD and put THAT into the ISO file.
Then I also used the SAME Pioneer A05 to RECORD that ISO file and it worked GREAT!

I'm hoping this will be the end of my problems!

  8. I'm getting the hang of using DVDDecryptor now.
    I have a question.
When you go to: MODE/ISO/WRITE is there a way to make it ALWAY'S go into the same Folder?

I made a Folder "DVD FOLDER" but when ever I make an ISO I have to search to find it somewhere on the C Drive.

It would be nice ,if WHATEVER DVD I copied ,would alway's go into that DVD Folder I made.

    Anyone?????????

  9. I believe there is an option in the settings area that says "default folder". I am not in front of the computer that has dvddecytper on it, but am almost positive that it is in the settings.

TO look at your other dvd player, I wonder if there is an issue with its settings (PIO, etc). I also noticed that you are ripping and burning from the C drive. Been told (although never experienced it) it is a no-no to burn from the same drive that has your OS.

  10. Mcleod,

    Thanks for your he;p!

I was able to make the ISO DVD I was writing; to go to the same folder everytime!

    My next question is,........

With DVDDECRYPTOR, is it possible to check the DVD's you burn for "Errors" and if so....How?

  12. Before I download DVDINFOpro,
can some one point me to a URL or give me step by step on how you check a DVD you just burned, for "errors"?

    I'm pretty much PC Illiterate.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Respectfullu.

  13. Okay, dl it and install the adware version. Open it and click ok on the "about DVDINFOpro" window to close that. On lower left specify the drive you'll use, then put in the dvd you want to test. Click on the magnifying glass on toolbar along top. Click start to begin test. Too easy. 8) Go do something else for 10 minutes or so.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
