  1. Hi all. I'm having a real problem with using Ulead Video Studio 6 or 7. Basically I want to capture video at a resolution of 720x576. Now the templates let ya have that setting and you can output video as 720x576 but when capturing the "Video Format" section only lets you have a max resolution of "720x480" which is NTSC standards and it's really driving me crazy because there's NO way I can capture at 720x576. I'm in Australia and we use PAL D and the proper resolution for PAL is 720x576 and when I capture 720x480 The picture doesnt look so good plus it stuffs up the fields.

Now I was wondering if there's ANY way at all to configure Ulead Video Studio so I can use a capture "Video Format" of 720x576????? Do I have to do some fancy pancy programming of some files to get 720x576 or some buggerising with the registries?????

I'm having the same problem with Adobe Premiere too. I can record at 720x576 in a few programs like Virtual Dub and Free VCR but I get gross frame droppage in those programs whereas in Ulead I rarely ever get frame droppage.

If anyone can help me solve this problem I'll be sooooo happy.

    Cheers

  2. Ahh just discovered something on Ulead Video studio 7. The capture setting was at 29.997 fps (NTSC standard) so when I adjusted it down to 25 fps, surprise surprise I got the option of setting 720x576!!!!!

    So disregard this post.
