Nero Recode 2 is officially out

This may be old news. But it appears Recode 2 is now officially released.

Now if I can just download 16megs on my silly 56k I'll check it out.

I wish that was the only problem I had. I've got to find a way to come up with the cash to purchase the standalone recode or the entire Nero 6 - all without my wife becoming suspicious.

I guess that's half the fun.

DL'd it and started playing around with all the features...Looks like this may be a MUST buy for me! VOB file support...WHOOHOOO

Sorry for the outburst! Having just purchased a DVD Recorder VOB file support is a very nice feature!

I have the entire original Nero 6 Ultimate Suite on CD, but only wish to install Recode (and then update it with the latest). i'm running 5.5.10.42 and do not want to install 6.0xx cuz the former is working perfectly. anyone know if this is possible, and HOW

just checked the ahead website...for recode2 it says you can back up any unprotected dvd (e.g. vs. dvdxcopy which copies the protection but inserts their warning)...do I need to rip outside recode2 then use recode2 to backup a (purchased) commercial dvd?

Yep, you'll ahve to rip with some other product then use recode to do the other stuff.
