  1. How do I use Roxio to burn DVD's compressed by DVDShrink?
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

The easiest way that I have found is to save the Shrink output files to a VIDEO_TS folder on your HD, then just drag and drop the folder when in Roxio's Disk Creator Classic. I'm still new to this, but have produced about 75+ disks with only one coaster, which I might not of finalized that disk or bad media? Good luck

  3. I have Roxio easy cd creator basic and the only option I see to burn my mpeg 2 dvd file is create a data cd. Will this work because I tried to burn with Nero. I got a picture file but no sound. Thanks

  4. You may also want to activate the "Verify VIDEO_TS folder .... mpeg compliance" or similar function in ECCD before burning the data project. That will keep you from making coaster.

  5. I need to jump in here too in hopes of using my EZCD/DVD 6 to burn my DVD Shrink stuff...

I just finished using the Disc Creator classic to copy all the files in my Video_TS folder and I thought I was home free until I tried playing the DVD-R disc I used in all my standalone DVD players..NONE of them recognized the disc at all So darn frustrating.

Where do I find this "Verify Video_TS..." option in Roxio 6?? I can only pray that this may help make burning for me work out.

    Thanks!

  6. ECDC sucks for DVD. I don't know if they've fixed the problems I had with it but I never could get it to burn a compliant DVD because it always wanted to burn in UDF 1.05, which many players do NOT recognize. you need to use UDF 1.02. Nero does the job much better IMO. of course you can always use ImgTools to make a ISO of the disk from the VIDEO_TS folder and use the ISO function in DVD Decryptor to burn it to disk. both freeware and very simple.

I can't speak to the reliability of ECDC, but I have had some problems with Nero 5 & 6 burning DVDs. Creating an image with IMGTools Classic and then burning image with DVD Decrypter has never failed for me. Adds an extra step but can save a coaster.

Copy all the files created by DVD Shrink into a VIDEO_TS folder. Create an empty AUDIO_TS folder. Put these two folders into a temp folder. Use IMGTools to create an image of that folder. If you want to test it before burning you could use Daemon Tools to mount the image and play the DVD with your DVD player software. Then use DVD Decrypter to burn the image onto your blank DVD.
