  1. Im ripping a DVD (two sided dual layer) with DVD Decryptor 3.1.7 to my hard drive in File mode and when I get to VTS_01_6.VOB this error occurs,

"Failed to read Sector 2657007 - No Seek Complete"

When I ignore it goes to the next sector and same error occurs for the next 250+ sectors until I gave up. I have enabled error skipping and cleaning the disc doesn't help. All other VOB's decyrpt with out any problems.
Is ther a way to quantify what a sector is or how much video(time) is lost if a sector is skipped? Can DVD Shrink work with skipped sectors? Any fixes?

    My process flow is:
DVD Decryptor to DVD Shrink to Nero Burn

  2. MachineMan,
I'm having the same problem with my copy of Gattaca, it's one of my oldest DVDs and it's pretty scratched up. What's the condition of your DVD?

    I get the following:

    I/O Error:
    Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector: 2033456
    No Seek complete

I also tried DVD Shrink, and DVD X Copy, same problem, different messages.

  3. Yep, same error. My DVD has a lot of small scratches but nothing major. I ripped worse with out issue. Maybe internal damage?

  4. I get the same error as well trying to copy Braveheart, and it has no scratches what so ever. Maybe this is a bug? I am using v.3.1.7 as well.

  5. OK, So I was able to RiP all VOB's with one VOB having skips several sectors becuase of errors. So my question is what will the impact of this be? Will it play fine but just skip the material that was in the bad sectors? Or will it have reading errors, sync problems, and/or freeze on my stand alone player???
