Hi. I'm trying to use TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress to hardcode subtitles to a wmv9 file. I didn't find any easier way to do it. On 49% I get this error. Anyone know why? I tried with a small part part of the video at first, that worked, no error. But when I'm encoding the hole video i get this error. I recently used the same procedure to add subtitles to and convert a mkv to wmv9.

What is your source file? A WMV file? it could be "corrupt" even if you can play it.

yes, It's a wmv file. But if it's corrupt. Why can i encode a small part of the file, and that works fine, but when it's starting to encode the hole file i get this error. It's analyzing it well, it is when it's starting the first pass the error comes.

Some players, such as VLC, will play corrupt and/or even incomplete files. They simply skip over the missing or damaged parts of the file. However, many video tools often can't process or work with damaged files.

You could try opening and resaving the file with WME. This will often fix some bad files.

What player are you using to test the files?
