  1. i know this is a weird request but since i heard about this book i have
become very intreged. I heard about it a couple of times when i was
younger but at the time i wasnt interested in reading that much but
since i am in a business/mature state of mind i been tryin to get my
hand on this book for 9 months but nobody hasnt/or willing to help me
out so maybe yall have some answers for me. Its basically a book that
ALL richer upper class and business owners read, it basically gives you
all the ends and out on the real deal behind what really goes on. It
teaches how you keep middle class and lower class fighting and arguing
amongst themselves while u get laws pass and other little perks done in
the background without anyone noticing (i.e. the way all these little
stupid laws are being pass about dl a ffff song of the net or putting
people in jail for 20 years because they hacked some direct tv
equipment) also it supposly let you no all the ends and outs on how u
really get your money for business without comin outta your pocket and
using tax people money. I actually can go into what it all supposlty
tells you but it would take to long.... now from the only thing i know
about this book is that the title is actually a one word title.... but
thats it!!!!!! Can anyone help me out?????

  3. There is no book that all upper class people read. Perhaps you are referring to the Communist Manifesto? It describes how the bourgeoisie (capitalists) extort labor from the proletariat (labor force), thus make a profit. It is also the basis of communism.

If that is what you are thinking of, I suggest reading more worthwhile books.

And if you do read jeex's, balance it out please...

  6. Sounds like an urban legend/conspiracy theory in the vein of Majestic 12 that the rich and powerful some how work together in secret societies to maintain their power base over commoners.

I would recommend you read this book if you are looking at understanding why the rich stay rich and the poor will mostly stay poor. It's the first in a series that are written by Robert T. Kiyosaki and are a great read and explain things in relatively laymen terms.

    Rookie,
Fahrenheit 451 is twice as old as you, that ain't the one.

Actually, it does seem as though the "intelligentsia" are doing all in their power to dumb down the population.

We have some damn dumb college grads. Maybe they have to be dumb to pay the tuition asked today. 30,000 to be qualified to manage at McDs? You have GOT to be kidding.

I doubt there is such a book. Anyone who tried to get it into print would be a dead man. Of course, since no one reads anymore, what the hell, 12 people read it, what's the big deal?

You really are being slowly screwed, but since the Simpsons is more important to you than what the governments, ours and the Brits, do, in our names, it will not change, especially since too many people say "Give me SECURITY, I will surrender a little LIBERTY, just to feel safe.

You deserve neither, and you will not get either.

    From a greybeard.

    Cheers,

    George

Threw that in there as a metaphor, George.
Something to read between the lines...but left open to interpretation, since there are a bunch of different things that can be taken.

yes, there are people who are not only willing and able to help, they are paid to do so, and their services are generally free.

they are called librarians. they work at libraries. you might be surprised to find that you have one in your area....

  20. If you look beyond the stereotypes and read the "Communist Manifesto" by Marx and Engel with an open mind, it is actually a rather detailed examination of capitalism. This book isn't actually so much about the "politics" of communism but rather an analysis of different economic systems.

It is a book that has been somewhat misused historically.

    Regards.
