  1. Hi Guys and Gals,
I am so lost here. I CANNOT get my Encoded DVD's to play on my DVD player without the "choppy" or "Freeze" stuff happening. I have checked all my AVI, Divx, and Xvid movies and some have bad frames and some Do not. BUT the "choppy" or "Freeze's" going on Does NOT happen with the bad frames. It happens on good frames. What am I doing wrong? I am converting Avi, Divx, and Xvid to Mpeg (DVD) the LOOK great but all of them but one dvd has this porblem. I am using TMPGenc and I have tried the wizard and doing it manualy. I have also tried matching the resolutions outputs with the inputs so they are the same and i get the same issue. There has GOT to be a simple solution as to why this is happening? I am doing Something wrong somewhere. Please help me someone and please DONT tell me to read a guide. I ahve done that, Forums are for Help from others.....

    please help me

    Derek

I won't tell you to read a guide, I will tell you to search the forums, and the DVD player compatibility list. I say this because the symptoms you describe are typical of media/player incompatibility issues.

  4. Hello,
well I have one dvd that i encoded that plays PERFECT so i would Doubt that It was media Or my DVD player? After I encoded the video I watch it on my PC as well and it does the same thing, but the Origianl avi is fine. See what I mean? it is an Encode issue i think......

In that case give us some details of your source material and encode process an we can take it from there. Perhaps pick one particular movie as an example (Beware warez!!!!)
