Help: firewire - DMRE60 and Sony Digital 8

I'm having trouble getting the a DV connection working between my Panasonic DMR E60 and a Sony TRV340. Is there anyone out there with experience dumping DV movies from Sony camcorders to Panasonic DVD Recorders????

The Panasonic tells me that it cannot detect a DV signal. The Camcorder works fine with a desktop firewire connection and Pinnacle Studio.

Also, what kind of cheapo media works well in a Panasonic. I already had some 2x discs fail in the Panasonic machine.

I got it to work.

I was previously using a 6 to 4 pin cable with an adapter. Using a 4 to 4 pin Firewire, it worked fine. Though, the Auto DV record mode still doesn't work right. Oh well.

Very happy with the Panasonic E60 recorder.
