Can one of you PX-708a users please post where I can find unbranded media that conforms to this chart posted on plextor.com? I cannot find Taiyo +R discs anywhere. TY+R is what came bundled with my burner.
I purchased some Ritek 4X +R discs from Rima.com, but they will only burn at 4X. Their ID is RICOHJPN-R01-02 According to the chart above, the RICOHJPN discs need to be R02-03.
Any help would be appreciated.

I use IMATION 4X DVD+R that burns at 8X. IMATION 4X DVD+R are RICOH brand. Officedepot has IMATION DVD+R's on sale 5 pack for $19.97 and you get 2 packs free. Not a bad deal!

I just ran out to Office Depot and picked up (3) 5packs of Imation DVD+R discs for $20. Popped one in and found out that they are RICOHJPN-R01 discs and will only burn at 2.4X. Well... they will be returned and the hunt will continue.
I was thinking about trying the Memorex DVD+R 4X 25 pack for $25. I am not sure if they are unbranded. I can't have their stinking brand name showing through our white labels.

Hopefully these will have an ID code of RICOH-R02-01 that is listed in the chart above. Knowing my luck, I highly doubt it. -
RICOHJPNR00 = 2.4x media
RICOHJPNR01 = 4x media but should work @8x on the Plextor
RICOHJPNR02 = 8x media
so if RICOHJPNR01 only burns @2.4x on your Plextor something is wrong. -
